1. Information we collect

To provide our loyalty, rewards, and review services, we collect and process customer and merchant data when the app is installed on a Shopify store:

• Customer profile data. We request access to customer details such as names and email addresses. We specifically do not collect or request phone numbers or physical addresses, to keep data collection to the minimum our features require.
• Purchase data. We access order information — product ID, quantity, and purchase amounts — to calculate loyalty points and trigger review invitations.
• Review content. We store customer reviews, star ratings, and uploaded media (photo and video reviews) to showcase on your storefront.

2. How we use your data

We process this information strictly to perform the contract with merchants and deliver the service:

• Managing loyalty accounts, tracking lifetime customer points, and generating discount reward codes.
• Sending automated review requests and loyalty notification emails.
• Displaying user-generated reviews, media, and badges on your Shopify storefront.
• Syncing event data to connected third-party integrations (such as Klaviyo and Mailchimp) as authorized by the merchant.

3. Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share customer data only with trusted service providers essential to running the app:

• Cloudflare R2. Our content delivery network, used to securely host review images and videos.
• PostgreSQL. Secure, encrypted transactional database storage.
• Nodemailer / SMTP gateways. Used solely to dispatch transactional notifications when direct mail sending is enabled.

4. GDPR & CCPA compliance

We fully support data protection rights. Customers and merchants can contact us to request access, correction, transfer, or deletion of their personal information. When a merchant requests deletion, we purge all store customer profile data in strict accordance with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (Customer Data Erasure, Shop Data Erasure, and Customer Data Request). To preserve merchant SEO and product ratings, deleted customer reviews are not removed but are fully anonymized by stripping all personally identifiable information such as names and email addresses.

1. Terms of agreement

By installing, accessing, or using the Recometic Loyalty & Reviews application ("the App" or "our Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must uninstall the app.

2. Account and usage guidelines

Merchants are solely responsible for all activity under their account and for complying with local regulations governing customer loyalty programs, rewards taxation, and user-generated review collection — including FTC guidelines for incentivized reviews.

3. Subscription plans and billing

The app charges on a recurring 30-day billing cycle, handled securely via the Shopify Billing API. Plans are tiered by monthly store order volume:

• Starter — Free forever, includes up to 50 monthly orders.
• Bronze — $29/mo, includes up to 1,000 monthly orders.
• Silver — $89/mo, includes up to 4,000 monthly orders.
• Gold — $199/mo, includes up to 10,000 monthly orders.
• Platinum — $399/mo, includes up to 25,000 monthly orders.
• Enterprise — Custom pricing for 25,000+ orders.

Paid plans meter a small per-order fee above the included volume, and that overage is hard-capped each month. Exceeding plan limits significantly will prompt a notification to upgrade your tier to avoid service interruptions.

4. Content ownership and license

You retain all ownership rights to the reviews, images, and videos submitted to your store. By using the app, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, store, format, and serve this content on your Shopify storefront. You also grant us the right to securely aggregate and anonymize this data for industry research, analytics, and statistical publishing. All published insights are strictly aggregated and hashed so that no personally identifiable information or specific merchant identities are ever disclosed.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recometic and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of profits, data, or storefront downtime — arising out of the use of, or inability to use, the App.
